As soon as a microsphere (M1) has obtained a certain size (1), it forms buds (B1) that bud off (2). Each of these buds is the beginning of a new generation of microspheres (M2) (3) reproducing again by budding (4). Electron microscopic picture of a cross-section through a budding microsphere. Look at the double layer produced by self-assembly of proteinoids of the microsphere membrane. The dimensions of this double layer do not tally with those of a phospholipid double layer of a cellular membrane (S. W. FOX, 1973).
