The single steps - discussed in the text - are marked with numbers, the intermediates with the usual abbreviations (see text). Six molecules of CO2 and six receptor molecules are necessary for the production of one molecule of glucose, consequently are six rounds of the cycle necessary in order to produce one molecule of glucose. For reasons of simplification are these six rounds depicted as one in the scheme above. The colours symbolize the numbers of C-atoms of the molecules.
